A continuation of Holistic Pathology: Part 1, learn about the musculoskeletal, integumentary, digestive and endocrine systems in the second part of this two part continuing education course.
In Part 2 of this two part course, you will learn about:
- the musculoskeletal system - disorders, assessment, therapeutic action, research findings, case presentations
- the integumentary system - disorders, assessment, therapeutic action, research findings, case presentations
- the ABCDs of malignant melamoma
- digestive and endocrine systems - disorders, assessment, therapeutic action, research findings, case presentations
- differences between hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia
- diabetic crisis
- genitourinary and genetic conditions - disorders, assessment, therapeutic actions relating to pregnancy including contraindications, research findings, case presentations
- supine hypotensive syndrome identification and prevention
- signs and symptoms of the different systems of the body that require referring the client out
- philosophical and practical aspects of working with persons who are seriously ill or injured - contraindications, Smith's bodywork modification model, working in specific healthcare environments
Holistic Pathology: Part 1 is not a prerequesite for taking Part 2. The same text is used for both Part 1 and Part 2 courses.
